用连接词说明逻辑关系：原因、结果、转折、让步、目的与时间顺序，让段落更易理解。
原因与结果的方向
because / as / since 可引出原因；so 表结果；because of 后接名词或 -ing。
The flight was delayed because of the fog.
航班因雾延误。
because + 句子，because of + 名词。
转折与让步
but 并列转折；although / even though 引出让步从句；however 作为连接副词要注意标点。
The route was longer. However, it was safer.
路线更长，不过更安全。
不要仅用逗号把两个完整句用 however 粘在一起；可用句号或分号。
despite 与 in spite of
后接名词、代词或 -ing；若后面是完整句，可用 although。
Despite feeling tired, she finished the walk.
尽管感觉疲惫，她还是走完了。
不要写 despite of；正确的是 despite 或 in spite of。
目的与时间顺序
to / in order to + 原形表达目的；so that + 句子；before / after / while / until 交代时间关系。
We left early so that we could find good seats.
我们提前出发，以便找到好座位。
先确定逻辑再选词；不是把长句随便接起来就更高级。

参考表达
Although the weather was poor, our class enjoyed the nature walk. We wore waterproof jackets because the forecast had warned us about rain. The path was slippery, so we walked slowly and stayed together. Our guide stopped near a pond so that everyone could see the insects clearly. Despite the cold, several students stayed to sketch the plants. I would recommend the trip, but I would bring warmer gloves next time.
