PET / B1 · Listening Part 2 · 本站原创学习材料
对应 Listening Part 2:6 段短对话,每题三选一,理解主旨、感受和意见。
学习范围:Cambridge B1 Preliminary for Schools。

1 · A school performance
Man: How did your first performance go? You seemed really nervous before you went on stage.
Woman: I was. I thought I would forget everything. I did miss one line, but the others helped me and we carried on.
Man: Were you disappointed about that?
Woman: Not really. The audience laughed in all the right places, and I enjoyed being part of the group. I would like to do it again.
Man: You should. Nobody expected it to be perfect.
2 · Choosing a restaurant
Woman: Let us go to the new pizza place. It is cheaper than the restaurant by the park.
Man: I went there last week. The food was good, but it was so noisy that we could hardly talk.
Woman: That is a pity. I wanted to hear all about your trip.
Man: The place by the park has a quiet garden. It costs a little more, but I think it would suit us better today.
Woman: You are right. Let us go there.
3 · A science project
Man: I expected building our model bridge to be the difficult part, but the construction was quite straightforward.
Woman: Yes, following the instructions helped. We spent much longer deciding how to explain our results.
Man: We had so many measurements that our first presentation was impossible to follow.
Woman: Choosing just three clear examples made a big difference. Next time we should think about the explanation before making all those slides.
Man: Definitely. More information is not always more useful.
4 · A new swimming group
Woman: I am thinking of leaving the swimming group. Everyone else seems faster than me.
Man: You have only been twice. What does the coach say?
Woman: She says my technique is improving, but I still feel embarrassed when I finish last.
Man: Why not give it a few more weeks and compare your time with your own first lesson? You do not have to be the fastest to improve.
Woman: That makes sense. I will keep going for now.
5 · A book ending
Man: Did you finish the mystery book I lent you? I thought the final chapter explained everything brilliantly.
Woman: I liked most of it, especially the way the writer made the small town seem real. But I guessed who had taken the painting quite early.
Man: Really? I was surprised by the ending.
Woman: The clue about the missing coat made it too obvious for me. Still, I would read another book by the same writer because the characters were so interesting.
6 · Planning a charity event
Woman: We need to choose a charity event. Selling cakes would be easy to organise.
Man: It would, but three classes are already doing that. We could offer something different, like repairing old toys.
Woman: I love that idea, but we would need people with special skills. What about a sponsored walk? Everyone could join, including younger students.
Man: Yes, and we could choose a short route for them. Let us suggest that at the meeting.
